About The Natural Shoe Store

The Natural Shoe Store (NSS) is the new flagship retail shop for exceptional shoes and bags and other indispensable things. 

Holding the exclusive local licence for high-quality Danish designed footwear brands Duckfeet and Nature Footwear, the NSS is a unique retail offering. It brings sustainably made foot-formed shoes, boots and sandals for adults and children to Melbourne, Australia and New Zealand. The Natural Shoe Store also recently added Vivo Barefoot to the growing list of brands we represent.

At the Natural Shoe Store our belief in high-quality, long lasting everyday essentials extends to bags, belts and wallets, which are made and designed in-house. Our new North Fitzroy store is also a design studio and workshop for All the Kings Men, which has been making locally for 15 years.

The Natural Shoe Store is a small, growing business in which all staff are involved in design, decision-making and encouraged to bring their ideas. We believe in the true value of goods, and how good design is better for the wearer and the planet.

Store Manager

A little about the role

  • You will be the face of the store and its values
  • Work autonomously, and problem solve
  • Contribute to visual merchandising decisions
  • Create an enjoyable experience for each customer
  • Process and fulfill online orders as required
  • Contribute to the social media strategy and execution 

Who you are

A passionate people person with a client focus, you will share our commitment to sustainable, slow fashion, good design and products that promote health in every wearer. You value exceptional customer service first and foremost, have emotional intelligence and be self motivated.

This is what you’ll need

  • Previous management experience in a retail or customer service environment
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional store management
  • Sound knowledge of retail requirements, including stock control, visual merchandising and presentation
  • A proactive approach, able to demonstrate initiative
  • A genuine passion for our products and the growth of our business
  • Strong social media background desired

About Us

Nature Footwear is a small family business with over 100 years of collective experience in the footwear industry. Over the years we’ve learnt a lot about the importance of design for the health of feet, and materials for the health of the planet.

Our goal for Nature Footwear is to take a giant leap in the direction that has the best outcome for all. To this end our design starts with the foot. The shape of the shoe follows the natural shape of the foot. We then source natural materials treated with low impact processes, such as chrome free leather and suede, natural rubber and cork.

We then work with small factories in Portugal because of their skill and years of experience making quality shoes. 

We are proud of our products and the thought and care that goes into making them. We bring the same quality to our sales and service.
