Nature Footwear Australia
Welcome
Welcome to Nature Footwear Australia.
Here you will find all the information you need to get started with our shoes. From the moment you receive them and try them on, though caring for them while they move through life with you.

Size and Fit
Trying on your shoes for the first time
When you first try your shoes on, we recommending doing so inside, preferably on carpet to prevent marking the soles.
As you try them on, ensure the laces, buckles or zips are done up, this helps to hold your foot in the correct place in the shoe and give you the most accurate feeling on the length.
You are feeling for a small amount of space in front of your toes, about a centimetre or so. If your toes touch the end, they are almost certainly too small as most styles will not stretch in the length at all. If you are only lightly brushing the end slightly, please feel free to give us a call and we can help you determine if you need to go up a size.
A good fit around the ankle is also ideal. A small amount of movement in the ankle may dissipate with time, though you still want to feel held. You will also find the buckles and laces will be able to be tightened further as the leather moulds to your feet.
Our leather and suede both have some ease in them and will give a little if needed. Suede is our most forgiving upper, followed by tumbled leather, nubuck then our standard leather. If you need some extra width or have chronic foot pain, our softer materials will be more comfortable straight out of the box.

Caring for your shoes
Keeping your shoes in good condition
Smooth and Tumbled Leather
A little bit of neutral colour, natural leather care at regular intervals, about once a month. Don’t use too much at one time. It’s better to use a little less a bit more often. Let the cream sit a few minutes and polish afterwards with a soft cloth.
If the shoes get dirty, clean them with a damp cloth. Let the shoes dry thoroughly and treat the leather again with shoe cream or leather conditioner. Be attentive to edges and seams, which should also be treated to maintain the leather and protect your shoes against water.
Nubuck and Suede
Before wear, we recommend using a protective suede spray to preserve the appearance and water resistance of the suede and help prevent stains. If your shoes get wet, allow them to dry naturally at room temperature. Remove any dirt or debris by brushing with a soft brush such as an old toothbrush or a specific suede care brush.
