The Sandra is one of three shoes in the summer range built on crepe rather than cork. Crepe is a natural rubber with a soft, slightly bouncy feel underfoot — comfortable from the first step, quiet to walk in, and grippy on most surfaces. No breaking-in.
The upper is stitchdown-constructed: a traditional boot-making technique where the leather is folded outward and stitched directly to the sole. The exposed stitch line runs visibly around the base, sitting flush with the crepe — a quiet piece of craftsmanship that gives the shoe its character. It also means the sole can be replaced without pulling the upper apart, so the shoe outlasts the sole.
A wide, foot-shaped last with room across the toes. A soft microfibre-lined footbed. Available in drum-tanned leather or soft suede — both age well.
