The Sol is one of three shoes in the summer range built on crepe rather than cork. Crepe is a natural rubber with a soft, slightly bouncy feel underfoot — comfortable from the first step, quiet to walk in, and grippy on most surfaces. No breaking-in.
Where most ballerinas sit low and delicate, the Sol has a substantial sole and a high-cut back that sweeps up around the heel. The result is a ballerina that stays properly on your foot without elastic, and reads more as considered flat than as ballet-adjacent slipper.
The upper is stitchdown-constructed: the leather is folded outward and stitched directly to the sole, with the exposed stitch line running visibly around the base. It also means the sole can be replaced without pulling the upper apart, so the shoe outlasts the sole.
Foot-shaped last with room across the toes. A soft microfibre-lined footbed. Drum-tanned leather that softens with wear.
